Elder Leon D. Lewis(shown in photo with Pastor McGee) is a native of New York, graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in Schenectady, New York in 1980. he attend New York State University College, pursuing a degree in education. In 1982 he joined the United States Army and was stationed at Ft. Ord Army base. While stationed at Ft. Ord, Elder Lewis joined Emmanuel COGIC wher he submitted to the pastorship of Superintendent Emeritus, Welton McGee; he was activie in the church as a member of the Emmanuel Choir, Sunday School, Y.P.W.W., and the youth department. In 1993, Elder Lewis was relocated to Germany, called to the ministry to preach the Gospel, he recieved his minister's license under Supt. McGee and ordained in the Atlanta, Georgia COGIC Jurisdictional Convocation in 1988. Elder Lewis returns to share the Gospel with us as part of our Jubilee Celebration and as a returning member who have been under the teaching and leadership of our Pastor, Elder McGee.
